Today marks this year’s Baby Loss Awareness Week. (Wednesday 9th October – 16th October)
Each year we support this important act of remembrance. It’s an opportunity for parents, their families and friends to acknowledge and remember their precious babies who have died. It’s also another opportunity to unite with others across the world to commemorate their babies’ lives (#WaveofLight) and to raise awareness about the issues surrounding pregnancy and baby loss in the UK,
Baby and infant loss in general is still such a taboo subject and we have also been keen to promote valuable discussions and support to those who have experienced it first-hand.
We will be supporting the especially prepared ‘Wave of Light Service’, wonderfully led by our local SANDS organisation.
The service is to take place at St Mary’s Church Banbury, this Sunday evening, at 6.00pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend the service and have the chance to remember a little one lost by lighting a candle and remembering.
