With a Perfect Choice Funeral Plan from Edd Frost & Daughters you can pre-arrange your funeral and fix your funeral director’s costs. It covers your funeral director’s costs, no matter how long you live or what happens to the economy in the meantime, which can help reduce the financial burden on your loved ones. It allows you to set out your wishes in advance so your family don’t have to second guess what you might have wanted. The plan can also include a contribution towards third party costs (known as disbursements), such as crematorium, clergy and doctor’s fees.

Perfect Choice Funeral Plans are only available from accredited funeral directors who are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). The NAFD is the country’s leading funeral trade association, their members conduct over 80% of all funerals in the UK.
The plans are also regulated by the Funeral Planning Authority and the delivery of the funeral is covered by the NAFD Code of Practice giving you extra peace of mind and security.
My Wishes Form
If you like the idea of planning ahead and ensuring your wishes are noted down but don’t want to pay for a funeral plan in advance, you can simply complete one of our ‘My Wishes’ forms. This form can be completed by you in the comfort of your own home. It asks all of the questions that we would discuss during a meeting for a pre paid funeral plan, giving you peace of mind that once completed, this form will be able to help your loved ones plan your funeral whilst carrying out your wishes exactly. We suggest that the completed form is kept with important documents such as your will, it will also be beneficial to ensure that you inform a close relative or your executor/s where it is kept so that they have easy access to it at the time of need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the plan guaranteed to cover the entire cost of the funeral?
The plan is guaranteed to cover all of the funeral directors costs which were included in the initial plan details. The only time there may be a variance in our costs is if you wish to make changes to your initial instructions, such as adding a limousine or having a specialist hearse.
The plan will also include a contribution towards third party costs, such as the fee’s for cremation or burial, medical fee’s or payment to a minister or celebrant. These are costs are outside of our control and may rise above the value of the plan. If this is the case a small shortfall may be payable at the time of need.
What happens to my money?
Perfect Choice Funeral plans offer exceptional financial security. Every penny of the full value of your plan (excluding the initial administration fee) is held securely in a whole of life assurance policy and ring-fenced to pay for your funeral when the time comes.
To hold the pre-payment funds, Perfect Choice only work with UK-based life assurance companies that are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the PRA and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA or FCA but we, as the plan provider, are registered with the Funeral Planning Authority and adhere to its strict code of practice.
Who is eligible?
Anyone aged 18 or over can take out one of our plans. There’s no upper age limit and no medical or health questions to answer.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes, you can cancel your plan at any time. If you choose to cancel the plan within 30 days of purchase, you’ll receive a full refund. If you cancel the plan after the first 30 days, you’ll receive a refund of the original amount paid, minus the Perfect Choice administration fee.
Can I pay for my Perfect Choice funeral plan by instalments?
Yes, you can choose to pay over 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years. There is an additional cost if you pay over 2, 3, 4, or 5 years. This additional cost is held within the plan and used for the funeral at the time of need.
What happens if I pay by instalments and need to cancel my plan?
If you choose to pay by monthly instalments and you wish to stop paying, you can either cancel the plan and receive a refund of the money you have paid minus the management fee, or you can leave what you have paid in the plan to be used as a contribution to your funeral when the time comes.
If your plan is needed before you have completed your instalments, the payments you have made will be used as a contribution to your funeral.
